Everyone is busy. And it’s all too easy to run out the front door without taking a moment to power up for the day ahead. Whipping up a simple banana smoothie recipe takes minimal time and effort – yet will have you feeling juiced in the best way possible!

You see, bananas are full of fiber and potassium – as well as a decent boost of vitamins C and B6. But they’re super low in fat.

And it’s in that lighter spirit that we chose to use pure maple syrup as an added sweetener instead of sugar. However, the real star of this yummy smoothie recipe is unsweetened cocoa powder – used to push the flavor over the top and create something that feels like a bit of an indulgence 😋 

You can add whipped cream for a bit of added sweetness and creaminess – or leave it out entirely… your choice.  It tastes great either way.

And if you really are too busy to drink your chocolate smoothie in the morning, take it to work or school and indulge when you get a free moment. Don’t worry – it’ll still be cold!

Start your morning right – or indulge in a midday pick-me-up. This chocolate banana smoothie is the perfect balance of healthy and gratifying!

  1. Put all the ingredients except for the whipped cream in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Top with whipped cream.
  3. Take it to go in a Tiger stainless tumbler and enjoy!
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp Pure maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup Soy or almond milk
  • ½ cup Ice cubes 
  • Whipped cream
