OK friends… It’s not so much a secret as a fairly well known kitchen hack. When it comes to making wild rice that is super infused with homey and savory flavor, cook it in chicken broth.

Yep, that’s right – instead of the usual water you’d use to cook wild rice, you can either use all stock or a mix of half water / half chicken stock.

And this technique works with any flavor you prefer. So go ahead and use beef broth or veggie broth. The results are delicious!

Well, this festive wild rice recipe gets into the holiday spirit with the sweet-tart addition of dried cranberries. And you won’t believe how easy it is to make in your rice cooker!

Sure, by now you know your Tiger rice cooker can be used to make everything from Swedish meatballs to vegetarian chili – and all things in between.

But these multi-functional rice cookers also absolutely nail the basics of cooking perfect rice. That’s true even when you’re using multigrain rice – that by definition is comprised of grains that usually take different times to achieve doneness. And you don’t have to worry about things like water to rice ratios when using your Tiger. The inner pot has easy to read fill levels.

We LOVE keeping things easy at dinnertime. Oh… and tasty. Dinner has gotta be tasty, right!?

And making this easy cranberry studded wild rice recipe is as simple as loading up your inner pot with wild rice, chicken broth, cranberries and chopped scallions.

Once you select the Mixed menu preset and press the Start key, your work is done! You can move on to other aspects of your feast. Or kick your feet up with a tumbler of bourbon and a good book. You deserve it, chef!
