Macaroni Soup

Soup is the ultimate comfort food! When you need a little home cooked goodness in your life, turn to this vegetable and macaroni soup.

Ingredients below are for a 5.5-cup cooker.

  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • One (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup frozen green peas, thawed
  • ¼ cup canned corn, drained
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Put all the ingredients in the rice cooker inner pot, stir, and close the lid.
  2. Select the [Slow Cook] function and set the timer for 45 minutes. Press start.
  3. When the soup is ready, feel free to add an additional cup of water if you like more soup than macaroni.


We love a little pasta in our vegetable soup! It just adds that extra boost of heartiness that pushes what might be considered a side dish into full-on meal territory.

A bit of worcestershire sauce introduces a serious depth of flavor to the broth – and dried herbs like oregano and parsley with diced tomatoes take the whole thing into Mediterranean territory.
