Ingredients

Ingredients below are for a 5.5-cup cooker.

  • 2 28oz. cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, chopped
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 ½ tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Put all the ingredients in the rice cooker inner pot and stir. 
  2. Close the lid and select the [Slow Cook] function. Set the timer to 90 minutes and press start. 
  3. When the cooking is done, transfer the sauce to a blender and blend until smooth.
