- Put the ingredients for the marinade in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Put beef and marinade in a ziploc bag or bowl, seal and refrigerate overnight or for at least 2 hours.
- Add beef, half of the marinade and carrots in rice cooker, close the lid and set to slow cooker mode for 3 hours.
- Serve in lettuce wraps topped with scallions and chili sauce.
- 1 pound beef tenderloin or sirloin sliced thin into 1/8-inch thick pieces
- 1 large carrot, sliced into bite size sticks (julienne)
- 4 scallions, finely chopped
For the marinade
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 Bosc pear, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 chopped green onion
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
